The Ashbrook Roofing Group is a forward-thinking, independent, and dynamic family-run business that focuses on continuous business improvements, training, development, and innovation for both business sustainability and the satisfaction of our customers and colleagues.

Ashbrook Roofing Services has been fixing and fitting slate and tile roofs since 1978. Although predominantly operating in and around Derbyshire and the Peak District National Park, we have traveled as far as London and Dover in the South and up to Harrogate in the North.
We are not only known locally for our work with private customers but also for our projects with public organizations and historic buildings such as Chatsworth Estate, Willersley Castle, several churches in the area, Derbyshire County Council, Derbyshire Fire and Rescue, and Platform Housing Group.
Our experienced roofers are all directly employed by Ashbrook Roofing Services and follow our company Code of Conduct and Core Values. Our roofers have a minimum qualification of an NVQ Level 2 and strictly follow manufacturers’ guidelines and recommendations, as well as updates provided by the NFRC (National Federation of Roofing Contractors). Our roofing team is involved in monthly in-house training, specifically focusing on BS5534 and other roofing categories. We follow a strict health and safety matrix for our team, ensuring they are regularly kept up to date with asbestos awareness, working at height, abrasive wheel, awareness of silica dust, and more.
We also offer an independent and bespoke service, providing in-person Roofing Reports or drone pictures and videos (for pitched or flat roofs). We have worked on hundreds of properties in conservation areas or with ‘Listed Building’ status, liaising with Natural England and The Bat Conservation Trust (www.bats.org.uk) on the safety and preservation of bats where necessary.
As a member of the Competent Roofer Scheme, we are randomly audited to ensure we are working to the most current up-to-date British Standards. The scheme also allows Ashbrook Roofing Services to self-certify the completed roofing works for building regulations, eliminating the need for additional time and money spent on a separate building inspector, as required by law.
At Ashbrook Roofing Services, we carry out all types of pitched roofing works, ranging from full re-roofs to small, single slate repairs. We also supply and fit all types of insulation and Velux windows. We inspect, repair, or install new timber structures, such as wall plates, timber spars, ridge boards, valley boards, etc. We dismantle and rebuild chimney stacks and undertake any other chimney repair work as required.
The roofing material we use depends on the requirements of each project, but we can supply and fit natural Spanish and Welsh slates, man-made fiber cement slates, Derbyshire and Yorkshire stone slates, diminished Westmorland, Burlington, and Welsh slates, as well as clay and concrete tiles. We also replace other roofing materials such as fascia, soffits, guttering, and rainwater goods.

George Ashbrook's Personal Why
My why is incredibly personal to me. My parents have worked their entire life, day in and day out for their business and sacrificed everything along the way. I now have the responsibility to carry it on in their name, to make it successful and sustainable.
This business carries our family name which makes it incredibly personal and beyond special. I will always give 100% dedication and service to make my family proud.

This allows the business to maintain close control over workmanship, timelines, and customer service—ensuring each project is delivered to an exceptional standard through our accreditations like the NFRC (National Federation of Roofing Contractors), CPS (Competent Person Scheme), Construction Line, Trust Mark, East Midlands Chamber of Commerce, Trusted Trader.

From our main site in Derbyshire, Ashbrook Roofing Supplies serves a growing number of roofing and building materials to Trade, Public Sector and Private customers both from our trade/retail store, and over the telephone.
The site stocks a wide range of new and reclaimed roofing, building, and landscaping materials, offering customer collections, as well as delivery through a fleet of Hiab crane, equipped lorries.
The helpful sales team includes ex-roofers who are able to offer technical advice and support on slate, tiles, flat roofing, heritage and modern roofing products and their fixing.
We offer the sale of roofing, building, landscaping and Home & Garden materials to both trade and private customers throughout the UK via our website (ashbrookroofing.co.uk) with the option of call and click & collect options
Ashbrook Commercial Properties owns and manages the real estate assets used by the group. It leases commercial buildings and land back to our operating subsidiaries, ensuring long-term operational stability and group integration.
Its core goal is to acquire and retain ownership of the land and buildings occupied by all group companies. Additionally, the company owns a select portfolio of external commercial properties, which are leased out to other businesses, generating rental income that supports wider group operations and reinvestment.
Ashbrook Construction is our residential property development company, specialising in small-to-medium scale new build housing developments. The company’s goal is to:
• Purchase and develop strategic land plots
• Build between 6–20 homes per site
• Sell the homes to generate capital returns
The proceeds are either reinvested into future development sites or redistributed to support wider group growth. Ashbrook Construction aims to build high-quality homes with thoughtful design and community integration.
